The Aztec Gateway

I have talked on this site about ancient Aztec practices and beliefs, as they were previous to the Spanish Conquest. Now, it comes down to a question of what these beliefs have to do with me. What do I really believe, what do I actually practice? Do I really believe in all this Aztec stuff?

The answer is: Yes, I do.

I believe that the Aztec religion is a perfectly valid and meaningful one, and that it possesses a very deep and highly evolved theology, philosophy, and approach to life. And beyond everything else, it calls to me in a way that nothing else ever has.

That said, I realize that piecing together my beliefs from the historical information on this page may be confusing to some people, and to others (i.e. certain members of the Pagan community), simply reading the historical information on this page may lead them to the conclusion that my beliefs are a colorless reconstruction of ancient practices that couldn't possibly hold spiritual meaning in and of themselves in the modern day. And so, I have decided to do a basic rundown of what I believe, followed by why I believe it, what I do about it, and also what I do not believe.
