The World Falls Down Around Me

We all bow to our slavery
Forgetting what it meant to be free
In chains and shackles we cease to be
As the world falls down around me
Gazing on eternity
Where so few others can hope to see
For all those who rely on me
Yet the world falls down around me
The light floods things so painfully
Destroying the dark that’s meant to be
Only the nighttime now comforts me
While this world falls down around me
I struggle to do what I can to be free
And hurt threefold all those who have hurt thee
For these hardships, I devote all of me
And yet our world falls down around me
Go swiftly into insanity
Crush as many as I can determinedly
Until they will finally defeat me
While my world crumbles around me
Speaking words of hate so poignantly
And yet, I know they will fail to save me
From a fate that should not deserve to be
For our world falls down around me
I spit at you for the pain you have caused me
I shall die, but I will not go quietly
Gently, the darkness envelopes me
And the world falls down around me
